About Connor

I am the sole proprietor and luthier at Lorimer Guitars. I have been playing guitar for almost 15 years, beginning at my local School of Rock and progressing into other hard rock and metal bands. This experience inspired me to pursue a career designing and building musical products such as guitar amps and pickups, which led me to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY, for college, where I earned my B.S. in Electrical Engineering in 2022.

Following my graduation, I worked in a more traditional engineering field for 2 years, hoping to build enough experience to eventually move into the music products industry. However, during this time, I realized I wouldn’t feel fulfilled in engineering unless I could also apply my passion for music to my work. As a result, I decided to try breaking into the industry from a different angle. This led me to the Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery in Phoenix, AZ, where I earned a certificate in Advanced Guitar Repair and received training in electric guitar construction and pickup winding.

I have since relocated to the Colorado Front Range, where I now operate an independent repair business and work on custom instruments in my spare time. I have always been obsessive and attentive to detail in everything that I do, but since working as a luthier, my knowledge of every aspect of guitars from both player and repair tech perspectives has increased tenfold. I genuinely love my work, and as a result, you will almost always find me working on something in the shop or researching guitar specifications to ensure my instruments are always perfect for my preferences, and so I can ensure the same goes for my clients.

Whether repairing or building custom instruments, I hope to bless others and fuel their creativity. If a guitar with specific specifications doesn't exist yet, I am excited to make my clients' visions a reality. Thank you for visiting my website; I hope to connect with you soon!
